Safeguarding means protecting the welfare, safety, and wellbeing of everyone involved in our club — especially children, young people, and vulnerable individuals. It’s about creating an environment where every player feels safe, supported, respected, and able to enjoy lacrosse with confidence.
At Stockport Lacrosse Club, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We follow all England Lacrosse (EL) Safeguarding Policies and Best Practice Guidance, and we work hard to ensure our culture, communication, coaching, and club environment always put player welfare first.
We are committed to clear reporting pathways, responsible behaviour from all adults, and maintaining strong partnerships between players, parents, coaches, and volunteers. If something doesn’t feel right, we want people to feel comfortable speaking up — and we act quickly to keep everyone safe.
