Fun, friendly lacrosse for boys and girls of all ages – from complete beginners to experienced players.
We’d love you to join us at Stockport Lacrosse Club – whether you’re completely new to the sport or already play at school or another club.
We currently run highly competitive Senior Mens and Womens teams.
We run junior boys’ and girls’ teams across all age groups, plus senior men’s and women’s teams. Our focus is simple: have fun, learn new skills, make friends and be part of a brilliant club community.
We currently run junior age groups for:
Girls Lacrosse Boys Lacrosse
• U11 U12
• U13 U14
• U15 U16
• U18 U19
New players usually start in one of our Skills Hub sessions, where we focus on fundamentals and building confidence before moving into full age-group teams.
How to join
Drop us a message to let us know your child’s age and any playing experience:
📧 stockportlacrosseclub@gmail.com
We’ll confirm the right training group and invite you along for a taster session.
Once you’re happy to join, we’ll ask you to complete our registration form, which collects:
• Player and parent/guardian details
• Emergency contacts
• Medical information
• Permissions (e.g. photography, communications)
This helps us meet our safeguarding and welfare responsibilities.
Most of our day-to-day communication runs through our Stockport Lacrosse WhatsApp Community.
It’s free to join, and you can choose which parts of it you want to be part of.
How it’s organised:
Everyone joins the main WhatsApp Community
Inside it, we have a series of sub-groups, including:
• Team-specific groups (e.g., Men’s, Women’s, juniors)
• Coaching groups
• Age-group parent groups
• Our 150th Club planning group
• Other interest/admin groups as they grow
You can join whichever groups are relevant to you — totally optional, nothing hidden, and no fees.
We then use Spond purely for match and training logistics, including:
• Selecting squads
• Confirming attendance and availability
• Sharing pitch changes / times / last-minute updates
• Managing which players are needed where and when
Spond Group ID: CZCXR (or we can send a direct link after registration).
These all follow England Lacrosse communication guidelines (e.g., no direct private messages with U18s).
Our monthly player subs are currently:
£17 per month for one player (Seniors or 1 child)
£30 per month for 2 players (same family)
£40 per month for 3 players (same family)
£80 per annum for players living away (e.g. students)
Your subs help cover:
• Coaching and pitch hire
• Match fees and league costs
• Equipment and club running costs
We’ll send you all the payment details when you register.
What you will need
Don’t worry if you don’t have everything on day one – we can lend some items for a short time while you decide what to buy.
